Brio Farms held our 9th ISR/Oldenburg N.A. inspection Sept 23rd.
The weather was warm for our inspection - 98 degrees! To spare everyone heat stroke, the inspection was held in the indoor, which was nice for the participants, but not so good for getting decent photos. Gjubilee, a three year old by Olivier (Idocus/Rowillie) out of the premium mare Ginseng (L.a. Baltic Sun/Grundstein) bred by Con Brio Farms was graded into the Premium Mare book. Gjubilee is a 4th generation product of the Con Brio Farms breeding program.

There were two premium colts, an very nice but young Ideal out of a Belucci mare owned by Susan MacInnes and Florian LF, a Fabuleux colt out of Catera(Martini/Guarantor) co-bred by Con Brio Farms and Laura Walker. The scores were very close, with Florian LF being named site colt Champion by a tenth of a point. There were also two premium fillies, both bred by Con Brio Farms. The first was the black filly Elsaba by Ecsudo II out of a premium mare by Rampal who has already pridcued an USDF All Breeds Champion, and the site filly Champion was Royal Ransom by Royal Prince out of Verilee (Ijsselmeer/Grundstein). Royal Randsom is also from Con Brio Farms' fourth generation of breeding. Laura Walker's second Fabuleaux foal was inspected on her property as her Cor Noir mare had pigeon fever, but her filly was premium as well, so she was very happy the registry could be so accommodating. Everyone seemed pleased with the inspection, and we had planned a lunch get-together, but most participants left right after branding to get home before the heat got worse in the afternoon.
